How to play Ingress Prime with JailBreak?
Many players have forgotten about the days of Scanner Redacted, when we could to play Ingress on jailbroken devices. However, since the public release of Ingress Prime, the situation with JailBreak has changed in the other direction. Once working tweaks from Cydia that allow you to bypass the protection stopped working. The reason for this is new mechanisms from Niantic that will immediately detect the presence of a pre-installed JailBreak on the iOS devices.
Jailbreak opens access to the system (in its own way, the same root for android), which means you can add a variety of functions that simplify working with the device. There are many tweaks that perform different tasks. The same tweaks for spoofing, cloning applications, splitting the screen into two parts, creating proxy & firewall rules, or even recording macros - have always been relevant in the old days. But due to many iOS updates and the Ingress game, most users opted out of it.
So if you suddenly want to play Ingress with Jailbreak. Then this manual can help you.
Most recently, was released the tweak "KernBypass", a new and working workaround for kernel-level detection, works in the command chain of higher-level kernel software, and theoretically cannot be detected by Ingress or other games even after receiving an update. we talked about this in the previous topic.
However, "KernBypass" may not work on some devices, so a - relatively new bypass for Ingress and Pokemon Go called "Vnodebypass" by @XsF1re was soon released. The method of operation of the tweak is almost similar to "KernBypass", but more stable for Ingress Prime. This is why we recommend using it first.
If you are already a Jailbreak user from Unc0ver, checkra1n, or any other, you can safely start installing the "Vnodebypass" tweak.
Installation method via Cydia:
1. Add a repository https://cydia.ichitaso.com to the list of sources.
2. Install the “vnodebypass” and “PowerSelector” tweaks from the Cydia search. After the reboot, the PowerSelector icon should appear on your home screen.
3. Open “PowerSelector” and select the "Enable vnodebypass" option.
4. Done, now you can try opening Ingress.
Demonstration of the tweak:
As a test was used iPhone X with 12.4.1.
